Dr Rouzbeh Shafgahat

Dr. Rouzbeh Shafaghat, was graduated in BSc of Mechanical Engineering-Thermal fluids from Sharif University of Technology in 1996. He has completed his MSc and PhD in Mechanical Engineering-Energy Conversion from Iran University of Science and Technology at 2001 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Babol Noshirvani University of Technology.

He has remarkable industrial experiences and has so far been active in various projects as executive, project manager and colleague. Based on these experiences and abilities, he has been the director of Based on these experiences and abilities, he has been the director of industry communication and entrepreneurship of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology from 2010 to 2018.

Considering his experiences and interest in activities in the field of the sea research as well as his tendency in the education of graduate students in this regard, since 2011, has has established the hydrodynamic and marine propulsion research laboratory that has a considerable capacity in both software and hardware sections.

Several projects have been carried out in the form of graduate theses and research projects under the supervision of Dr. Rouzbeh Shafaght. The outputs of these activities, together with the potential of this research laboratory, have provided the basis for the establishment of the Sea-Based Energy Research Group since 2015.
